Issues with trees located on common areas should be directed to the Board by emailing tcehoa@gmail.com. Trees on a homeowners’ lot are the responsibility of the homeowners. The HOA does an annual “tree walk” in the fall to identify and assess dead/diseased trees and/or trees posing a risk to structures. An email is sent out prior to the tree walk asking for homeowners to tag suspect trees to be evaluated by our tree expert.
Your home’s apron is the area between your home’s structure and the lines of your lot. The common area is what’s beyond your lot lines. TCE lots are all different shapes and sizes, so it’s not always intuitive what you’re responsible for vs. the HOA. The best way to determine your home’s apron--short of paying to have an official survey done--is to look up your address on the Orange County interactive GIS mapping system.
